Description
Summary:This data package contains oxygen and hydrogen isotope measurements taken from two rivers (Fox Canyon and North Mountain) near Thule, Air Force Base (AFB) in Northwest Greenland. Samples were collected over the course of summer field seasons (2011-2013). This dataset also contains water isotope measurements of snowpack collected from snow pits located on North Mountain near Thule, AFB and precipitation isotopes collected at Thule, AFB. This data is part of a larger study investigating regarding how the Arctic is undergoing structural and functional changes that appear to be the result of climate change, including shifts in vegetation distribution, increases in CO 2 and CH 4 efflux from ecosystems to the atmosphere, and the acceleration of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) export from land to oceans
