Summary: | This is the dataset used to assess the role of incubation temperature as a barrier to successful spawning and development of coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in an Arctic establishing scenario. We experimentally exposed coho salmon embryos to temperatures that were previously recorded in the groundwater spring-fed spawning environment of Dolly Varden (Salvelinus malma), an important subsistence species known to spawn in thermal refugia, similar to Pacific salmon. Data packages available for this project include (1) recorded temperature from experimental treatments; (2) observed embryo mortality data throughout the experiment; (3) observed hatching response data throughout the experiment; and (3) R code associated with conducting analyses; and (4) binary survival observations for experimental embryos and associated developmental rates.
