Description
Summary:This study analyzed the results of 22 interviews with community members (mostly fish harvesters), to understand how philosophical debates play out in these communities. It also discusses which political goals might be worthwhile in light of the results of those studies. The political goals it examines are about how the fishery is managed; how fishing quota is distributed, and what rules fishers need to abide by. Fishers are the ones who have the most direct contact with these policies, so the studies examined focus on fishers and their views.
