Description
Summary:This data set contains data collected during the Summer SBI 2002 cruise aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Healy (HLY-02-03). Samples were collected at 6 depths throughout the water column in parallel with productivity samples, which is 100-80, 50, 30, 15, 5, and 1% of the surface irradiance. Samples were filtered in low light and temperature conditions onto 25mm GF/F filters (nominal pore size 0.7um), and placed immediately in the -80oC freezer. They were then shipped to San Diego in dry ice. Analysis of samples was performed by J. R. Perl and C. C. Trees at the Center for Hydro-Optics and Remote Sensing, San Diego State University. The High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method used was that proposed by Wright et al. (1991).
