Summary:Metadata for NSF OPP AWARD NUMBER 1203851 PI and Contact: Mead Allison, Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA 70115 USA, meadallison@tulane.edu, telephone 504.862.3270 Files (6) are all in Microsoft Excel format. All files are downcore analytical results on cores collected from Simpson Lagoon, Alaska. A previous report deposited in ACADIS (M. Allison, PI) and associated with NSF OPP EAGER Award #0935336 contains maps of coring locations, core logs, downcore x-radiographs and seismic (CHIRP) data collected on the field study. The present award was to continue analytical work on the cores described in the EAGER data repository. The files are: 1. Clay.xlsx –which contains a downcore record of clay mineralogy for the cores analyzed (SL6, SL4) by X-ray diffraction. 2. GrainSize.xlsx –contains a downcore record of granulometric parameters measured for SL2, SL4, and SL6. 3. dO8.xlsx – contains a downcore record measured from planktonic and benthic foraminifera of δ18O and δ13C in core SL6. 4. radioisotope.xlsx –contains downcore records of radiotracers utilized to calculate geochronology (137Cs, 210Pb, and 239,240Pu). Pu is only for SL4 and SL6 while the other isotopes were analyzed for SL1-SL6. 5. Xrf.xlxs – contains downcore x-ray fluorescence scans for major and trace elements for cores SL1-SL6. 6. GDGT.xlxs –contains downcore records for SL2 and SL4 for organic GDGT biomarkers
