Description
Summary:This work was conducted by Purdue University. We measured iodine-I2, dibromine-Br2, clorine-Cl2, bromine monochloride-BrCl, and ozone-O3 concentrations above the snowpack along within the snowpack interstitial air during Jan. and Feb. of 2014 in Barrow, Alaska. Inorganic halogen measurements were performed using a chemical ionization mass spectrometer. This field deployment was performed to study the production of molecular halogens with the Arctic snowpack.
