Description
Summary:These files contain data representing the periodic plant measures of species within each plot in a CSV format. The data presented are seasonal growth of graminoids (length of leaf, and length of inflorescence) and seasonal flowering of all species (number of inflorescences in flower within a plot), collected weekly during the summers of 2012-20XX for a subset of 30 grid plots at two sites (Barrow ARCSS grid and Atqasuk ARCSS grid). Plant development was followed throughout the entire summer. Plant measures were determined based on species morphology and ease of information collection. Within each plot three permanently marked individuals were monitored for each graminoid species, if possible. Due to the low percentage of flowering, data on reproductive traits required the measurement of non-tagged plants. Data collected were 1) length of leaf and length of inflorescence of permanently marked graminoid individuals 2) total plot measurements of the largest reproductive individual (and non-bract leaf) of each graminoid species 3) total plot counts of the number of inflorescences in flower for all species. All unit areas for marked individuals were 5 by 5 cm in size.
