Description
Summary:The purpose of this dataset is to characterize the core and intact branched glyerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers (brGDGTs) lipid distributions in Arctic lakes and their catchments. The dataset contains the abundances of core and intact brGDGTs from five lake catchments in the Eastern Canadian Arctic and identifying information (sample name, latitude, longitude, elevation, sampling date, sample type, sample subtype, lake name, and lipid extraction method). Sample types include soil, surface sediment, water filtrate, sediment trap, and sediment core. Along with the commonly measured core brGDGTs, intact brGDGTs with monoglycosyl (1G) and phosphohexose (PH) head groups are reported. Samples were collected between 2016 and 2018.
