Description
Summary:This dataset includes wear scores for individual teeth and microwear of arctic foxes collected on the Yamal Peninsula in Russia, in 1981, 1983, 2007, and 2019. Metadata include the region of specimen collection (south, north, Sabetta), sex of individual, level of back fat (a proxy for nutritional status), and relative pulp cavity diameter (a proxy for age). These data allow us to assess the impact of year of specimen collection, location of specimen collection, sex of the individual, nutritional status, and age on gross tooth wear and breakage for each tooth and on microscopic pattern of wear for arctic foxes.
