Description
Summary:These data set includes concentration and composition data for suspended particles collected from Conductivity Temperature Depth (CTD)-rosette bottles during the September-2016 and August-2017 cruises to the Northeastern Chukchi Sea aboard R/V Sikuliaq. The CTD profile data for all the stations included in these data set are available at the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) data repository for R/V Sikuliaq’s cruise SKQ201612S (https://www.rvdata.us/search/cruise/SKQ201612S12S) and for SKQ201712S (https://www.rvdata.us/search/cruise/SKQ201712S12S). The data sets are being presented in a manuscript that is currently being submitted to JGR-Oceans. The title of the manuscript is "Particulate Organic Matter Distributions in the Water Column of the Chukchi Sea during Late Summer" and the authors are Miguel A. Goñi, Laurie Juranek, Rachel Sipler, and Kylie Welch. The datasets include date/time, location (latitude/longitude) and water depth of each CTD station, temperature, salinity, density, chlorophyll fluorescence and particle beam attenuation for the depths of each bottle sample collected via the CTD-rosette, and the concentration of suspended particulate matter, particulate nitrogen, particulate organic carbon, chlorophyll a and pheophytin determined from individual water samples from specific depths.
