Description
Summary:This dataset includes geochemistry measurements is from Neogloboquadrina pachyderma collected in April 2006 from a sediment trap in the Irminger Sea (sites IRM-3 and IRM-4). Included are single shell magnesium/calcium (Mg/Ca) results, as well as secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) stable oxygen isotope (d18O) spots on single shells. Hydrographic measurements reveal the study area to be isothermal and isohaline during the month prior to collection. The purpose of project was to determine if there is any geochemical differences in Mg/Ca or d18O between the crust and ontogenetic calcite from shells that grew in isothermal/isohaline waters.
