Description
Summary:This dataset derives from follow-up research (following twelve months of ethnographic fieldwork) conducted over three weeks in August 2019. Dataset includes one file: an anonymized transcript of a group interview conducted with a small group of Yupiaq (Yup'ik) Elders, adults, and youth, in Akiak, Alaska, in August 2019. Interview focuses on the importance of salmon fishing relations to kinship and other social relations as well as the adverse social and psychological affects of state and federal fishing regulations on life in Akiak. Audio recording is not included in dataset due to concerns about anonymity.
