Description
Summary:The data presented here was collected to investigate the fjord stratification and their cross-fjord variability in front of a major non-floating marine terminating glacier in West Greenland. This data set comprises seven individual vertical profiles of temperature and salinity, collected from a boat in front of Store glacier on August 16/17, 2010. Profiles were obtained along a transect parallel to the glacier front, in a distance of approximately 1 kilometer using an InterOcean S4 conductivity, temperature, and depth profiler. In addition, water depth was measure with Lowrance 18C sonar depth sounder along the boat track, and average water depth corresponding to the position of the individual profiles are included in the data set.
