Description
Summary:Selected sections of the archived NGRIP (North Greenland Ice Core Project) obtained from the University of Copenhagen were analyzed with the DRI/OSU continuous ice core analytical system largely to investigate the impact of site characteristics (accumulation rate, temperature, elevation, locations, surface melt history, impurity concentrations) on the fidelity of Greenland ice core gas (methane and carbon monoxide) records. Included in the data set are three sections of NGRIP core (~73.7 to ~110.0 m, ~207.0 to ~519.1 m, ~519.0 m to ~570.0 m). Continuous gas measurements are reported elsewhere.
