Description
Summary:These data are a compilation of station-based fish community data from multiple cruises in the Chukchi Sea over the timeframe of 1976 - 2019. Specifically, these data are from surveys using 3 general gear types: plumb staff beam trawls, eastern bottom trawls and Isaacs-Kidd midwater trawls. The dataset consists of six comma-separated files exported from Microsoft Excel. The data are arranged in tables, consisting of: 1. cruise table (cruise identifier and information for each cruise), 2. haul table (information on each trawl sample taken, including gear type, location, depth, environmental data where available, trawl performance, area sampled, etc), 3. catch table (information on what was caught including species, number of specimens, total weight, catch per unit effort), 4. a second catch table including only saffron and Arctic cods, for which catch data was available from more cruises 5. specimen table (fish ID, species, length, weight, age, etc) and 6. species list.
