Description
Summary:Ichthyoplankton data were collected at all grid stations from the 2017 Ocean Starr survey to determine the composition of the ichthyoplankton community, their abundance, and their distribution. Ichthyoplankton samples are collected with a 60-cm bongo equipped with a 505-um mesh net. Samples were processed after collection at sea with species identified and enumerated under a microscope in the laboratory. The data file contains station information (latitude, longitude, bottom depth, gear depth), GMT date, species, specimen stage, and abundance. For bongo collections, analyses are completed with catch per unit effort, reported as number of individuals per 10m2 to account for depth sampled. Abundance is also reported here as the number of individuals per 1000m3, which accounts for the volume water filtered but not depth. No fish eggs were captured during this survey. File is comma separated values.
