Description
Summary:Data represents measurements and associated imagery captured by an automated measurement system aboard a commercial fishing vessel in the Bering Sea winter of 2017 . Fish were tracked by a video camera as they slid down the discard chute. An image-processing application detected and segmented fish from the background, saved a representative snapshot, and generated a measured fish length and associated weight estimate. The resulting snapshots were saved, superimposed with the associated length, weight, and a quality metric representing an estimate of the measurement fidelity. In addition, all raw video footage was saved in .avi format. A small representative sample of video and associated images are posted here. All numerical measurements are presented in CSV form. Data files included in this dataset are as follows: Final data: AFMS_DATA_ALL.csv Vessel_Haul_Measurements.csv Vessel_Logs.csv Sample images and video: 20170219164917.jpg 20170307044245.jpg 20170307044253.jpg 20170307044325.jpg Recorded-20170219164909.avi Recorded-20170307044222.avi
