Description
Summary:This research integrated field and laboratory data to examine how variability in temperature and food availability influences growth, condition and survival of juvenile Arctic cod (Boreogadus saida). Laboratory experiments (conducted in 2012-2014) measured the interactive effects of temperature and food availability on Arctic cod growth, condition, and lipid storage from 0 – 16°C, and field analysis (occurring in 2012-15) compared the condition of juvenile Arctic cod across environmentally distinct regions across the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas. Data are comprised of lab experiments and lipid/fatty acid analysis of field samples. Lab data consists of growth, lipid and consumption rate information of juvenile Arctic cod across varying temperature and food treatments. Field data consists of lipid and fatty acid information on juvenile Arctic cod. All data are stored in a single Excel (2010) spreadsheet with 6 individual worksheets.
