Description
Summary:NODC Accession 0109922 includes biological, chemical, discrete sample, meteorological, physical and profile data collected from AURORA AUSTRALIS in the Indian Ocean from 2006-01-02 to 2006-03-12 and retrieved during cruise CLIVAR_S04I_2006. These data include ALKALINITY, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, Extinction coefficient of the atmosphere, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, PHOTOSYNTHETIC ACTIVE RADIATION (PAR), SALINITY, SILICATE and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include Alkalinity titrator, CTD, Coulometer for DIC measurement, PAR Sensor and bottle. These data were collected by Mark Rosenberg of Antarctic Climate & Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre and Bronte Tilbrook of Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization as part of the CLIVAR_S04I_2006 data set. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
