Description
Summary:XBT temperature profile data were collected in the Mediterranean Sea by USS THOMAS S. GATES between Spetember 10, 1994 and September 27, 1994. Twelve stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC. Real time water temperature data from expendable bathythermograph (XBT) were recorded on stripcharts by the US Navy. Radio logs are forms that contain time, weather latitude/longitude, vessel id, ship id, etc. These were radioed every two hours to a US Navy facility and contain one line per strip chart. Some strip charts have time /date /ship id /latitude /longitude annotated on the strip chart.
