Description
Summary:The database from the Endicott Environmental Monitoring Program contains oceanographic, meterological, and fisheries data for the Prudhoe Bay region (North Alaska, Beaufort Sea, around 152 degrees W /68 degrees N) from 1985-1987. The Endicott program was implemented by Ebasco Environmental and collected meterological and oceanographic (CTD, currents) data, as well as data related to fisheries, river discharge, coastal sediments, and snow geese program elements. Some of the oceanographic data is related to currents flowing through breaches in the Endicott causeway. Many of the data files are in NODC formats. Data formats were included in the dataset as FORMAT.TXT files. The three format files are: FORMAT85.TXT (925 records), FORMAT86.TXT (1763 records), and FORMAT87.TXT (2542 records). The format for 1988 fish overwintering data is also in FORMAT87.TXT. 10 diskettes of data were submitted by Peter G. Hummer to NODC.
