Description
Summary:The object was to probe in greater detail than has been possible in the past, the dynamical balances of Gulf Stream meanders and their change with time. Specifically, by repeatedly surveying a meander with a variety of measurement techniques, we hope to reconstruct the density and velocity fields with sufficient accuracy to quantify the fluxes of mass, momentum and voricity through the meander and how these affect the structure of the meander during the observation period.
