Summary:This data set contains the results from a study of biological processes on the United States North Atlantic slope and rise sponsored by the Minerals Management Service (MMS), Department of Interior. The data were submitted by Battelle Ocean Sciences and Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory. Data were collected during following time periods. Cruises NA1-NA6 between November 1984 and September 1986 and cruises MD1-MD6 between May 1984 and November 1985 both used R/V Cape Hatteras, Oceanus and Gyre. Station locations are given by area names without latitudes and longitudes, and although specific, no definite day is given. The documentation includes descriptions of the substrate, comments and species codes.
