Description
Summary:Time series data on fluxes, average weight, and isotopic compilation of perennially abundant plantonic foraminifera of the Sargasso sea, near Bermuda, North Atlantic. Thirty one sediment trap deployments at 3200-m and 1000-m above the sea floor from April 1978 to May 1984. Forms described are Globigerinoides ruber, Globigerinella aequilateralis, and Orbulina universa. These data were collected by Dr. W. G. Deuser, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), under NSF Grants OCE 76-21280, OCE 78-19813, OCE 80-24130, OCE 82-19588, and OCE 85-09155. One floppy disk containing planktonic foraminifera data submitted to NODC has been copied to current NODC data storage media.
