Description
Summary:This Archival Information Package (AIP) contains geographic information system Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA) GIS layers of the The Nature Conservancy (TNC) analysis of total cumulative oil map using the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) composite image polygons that were collected during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response in the Northern Gulf of Mexico. Image polygons were converted into a 30m grid and counted for each day an image polygon grid had potential oil in the NESDIS analysis. This analysis has been replaced by the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Texture Classifying Neural Network Algorithm (TCNNA) Days of Oiling analysis. These data were collected during the response to the Mississippi Canyon 252 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Northern Gulf of Mexico and used as part of the Programmatic Damage Assessment and Restoration Plan (PDARP).
