Rhododendron vanhoeffeni is refound in Greenland. Notes on history, distribution, ecology, morphology, and fertility are given. Its hybrid origin is established and consequently a new combination, X Ledodendron vanhoeffeni (Ledum palustre ssp. decumbens × Rhododendron lapponicum ), is made.
