THE IDENTITY OF THE COTTON LOOPER KNOWN AS ANTARCHAEA CHIONOSTICTA ATHERTON (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE)
Abstract The currently used name of the cotton looper, Antarchaea chionosticta Atherton, is shown to be a synonym of Molopa planalis Swinhoe, and the species is referred to Anomis Hübn. The species is redescribed and its synonymy given; the genitalia of both sexes are figured.
