Summary: | Abstract Monoctonus nervosus (Hal.) has been found to be transpalearctic in distribution, with an extension to the Nearctics (new synonyms: Monoctonus paulensis Ashmead, M. secundus Viereck). Its spread to the Nearctics is presumed to follow the route from the East Palearctics via the Aleutian islands ‐ Bering strait, Alaska and Pacific coastal areas of North America. Its host range is classified and discussed with respect to the papers of C alvert and v. d . B osch (1972). |
