PHYTOPLANKTON ABUNDANCE AND COMPOSITION IN THE SOUTHERN OCEAN

The Russian research vessel Akademik Treshnikov , circumnavigated Antarctica in the summer of 2016–2017. The authors describe some of the findings of their research on phytoplankton, and contrast their voyage with that made by J.D. Hooker in 1839–1843.
