Influence of air pollution on seed quality of Picea obovata

Summary The status of Siberian spruce seeds along a transect near the Monchegorsk nickel smelter (Kola Peninsula, Russia) was evaluated using the X‐ray method. The viability of seeds was significantly reduced under severe deposition of sulphur dioxide and heavy metals.
