Summary:Abstract The available literature on Trinoton species is analyzed and reviewed. Rich material especially from Yakutia is studied. The taxonomic features of species and subspecies are compared. A new species is described, Trinoton verakopskeae spec. nov. from Baikal teal, Nettion (Sibirionetta) formosum. Some more probably new subspecies or species are discussed.
