Abstract Esters of ferrocene carbonic acid with aminoalcoholes in the presence of carbonyl donators can exchange their central atom Fe against 99m Tc from pertechnetate yielding cytectren‐derivatives. Organ distribution of the 99m Tc labelled esters showed a high brain uptake.
