Summary:Abstract Examination of the variation of the circumpolar species C. glareosa Wahlenb. and of the closely related C. pribylovensis of the Bering Sea area shows that there is considerable overlap in the characters used to separate these two taxa. After a discussion of their geographical distribution in the Bering Sea area, the new combination C. glareosa subsp. pribylovensis is proposed.
