Throughout the world, special messages are read and published in more than 50 countries. This year’s Canadian World Theatre Day Message was written by Newfoundland playwright Michael Cook at the request of the Canadian ITI Centre (English-language). It was read publicly on World Theatre Day at the St. Lawrence Centre in Toronto by actress Frances Hyland and is published here for the first time with the permission of the ITI.
