Hydrocarbon degradation strategy and pyoverdine production using the salt tolerant Antarctic bacterium Marinomonas sp. ef1.

Marinomonas sp. ef1, in 1% (v/v) of diesel and biodiesel was able to reproduce itself, confirmed by the OD 600 curve; the decrease of COD parameter confirmed the degradation of diesel; in the case of biodiesel the bacteria synthesized a secondary fluorescent compound.
