Description
Summary:Abstract The Helicopter Emerged From a Curtain of falling snow and the pilot pointed directly ahead, then eased back the throttle and began a long slanting descent. For the past hour we had thumped southeastwards down the length of Frobisher Bay, the tundra hills of Baffin Island rolling down to gradually disappear as humped islands and rocky shoals in the heaving waters of the inlet. Now the southern shore was falling away into a distant line of glaciated peaks as the bay opened out into the expanse of Davis Strait and the North Atlantic Ocean.
