SUBALPINE CRYOSOLIC SOILS IN BANFF AND JASPER NATIONAL PARKS

Cryosolic soils have been identified on forested, upper subalpine, north facing slopes in eastern Banff and Jasper National Parks. Soil morphology and soil and air temperatures all confirm the presence of permafrost.
