Description
Summary:Daily energy expenditures of two moose (Alces alces) cows were estimated throughout an annual cycle by summing energy costs during specific activities. Energy expenditures (determined by heart rate telemetry) during specific activities changed seasonally. Total daily expenditures ranged from 285 kJ/kg 0.75 in April prior to leaf flush to 1180 kJ/kg 0.75 in July.
