Filaroides (Parafilaroides) hispidus n.sp. from the ringed seal, Phoca hispida, from the Beaufort Sea can be distinguished from all other Filaroides (Parafilaroides) species by its small size, the presence of longer spicules, and, except for F. (P.) hydrurgae, a longer gubernaculum.
