Summary:Ommatokoita sp. is described from a single adult female specimen recovered from the skin of the demersal shark Etmopterus princeps collected in the northwest Atlantic Ocean. The specimen differs from the other species of the genus Ommatokoita, O. elongata, in the shape of the trunk, the structure of the first maxillae and maxilliped, and the size of the parasite.
