Glycogen pools in the arterial thoracic retia of the narwhal, Monodon monoceros , and their possible significance

Ultrastructural observations of glycogen pools in the arterial walls of the thoracic retia are reported in the narwhal, Monodon monoceros. The possible significance in blood glucose regulation is briefly discussed.
