Description
Summary:The origin and subsequent elaboration of the mesonephric tubules from condensation of cells derived from the intermediate cell mass is described from the earliest appearance of condensations to the differentiated stage in the year-old fingerling. It is noted that both the pronephric and mesonephric kidneys are present together for a considerable period of the early life of the pink salmon, though it is unlikely that both function simultaneously.
