Northern Range Extension of the Atlantic Mackerel, Scomber scombrus, to Black Island, Labrador
During August 1969, 785 specimens of Scomber scombrus were captured in southern Labrador coastal waters, extending the known range in the western North Atlantic to Black Island, Labrador, more than 50 miles north of Triangle Harbour, the previously authenticated northern range limit.
