Description
Summary:Ligation of an adult Atlantic salmon with a cord created a bruise in the epaxial muscles similar to that observed in a salmon caught by a nylon gillnet. There were no external manifestations of these lesions. Although only 10 such salmon have been observed, the incidence of this type of damage could be high because of the recent and widespread use of nylon gillnets for Atlantic salmon.
