Description
Summary:Twenty chrysophycean stomatocysts were described from the postglacial sediments of a Mid Arctic lake (Tasikutaaq Lake, Baffin Island, N.W.T.). The description guidelines of the International Statospore Working Group were followed. Elements of both High Arctic and temperate cyst floras were present, and approximately one-third of the cysts were described as new. Stomatocyst degradation was common and may be related to the degree of ice cover on the lake.
