SCLEROTINIA ARCTICA N. SP. ON CAREX FROM NORTHERN CANADA

A new species of Sclerotinia on Carex aquatilis var stans, S. arctica, is described. Large, black sclerotia produced in the culm bases of the host give rise to apothecia with discs 6–11 mm in diameter. It is compared with S. vahliana and S. dennisii on Eriophorum spp.
