Summary:Abstract Nine species of Epidamaeus of subarctic western North America and extreme northeastern USSR are discussed. Six new species, Epidamaeus aborigensis , E. chukchi , E. floccosus , E. gilyarovi , E. koyukon and E. nasutus , are proposed; E. gibbofemoratus , E. hastatus and E. tenuissimus , previously described by Hammer, are redescribed.
