Description
Summary:The terminal Neoproterozoic Sheepbed and Blueflower Formations at Sekwi Brook in northwestern Canada have yielded two additional taxa, both of them new to North America. Hiemalora cf. H. pleiomorphus Vodanjuk is a tentaculate disc that most likely represents a semi-infaunal polyp. Windermeria aitkeni n. gen. and sp. is an ovate, bilaterally symmetrical, segmented fossil similar to the dickinsoniids; these fossils characterize Neoproterozoic faunas of Australia and the Russian Platform, but had not previously been reported from Laurentia.
