Thrust Structures in Young Sea Ice

Abstract Curious interlocking thrust structures, described in the Journal of Glaciology , Vol. 3, No. 23, 1958, p. 173–75, are shown to be a common and typical deformation feature of young sea ice, and a suggestion is put forward as to their formation.
