John W. Boyer

John W. Boyer (born October 17, 1946, in Chicago) is an American historian and academic administrator. He is Senior Advisor to the President and the Martin A. Ryerson Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. He served as Dean of the College from 1992 until 2023, making him the longest-tenured dean in the College's history.
